Many people have facial flaws, and these can become more pronounced as the years go by, for example, hollow cheeks on one side or both sides of the face, dents or sunken areas of the face as a result of trauma. These flaws and others such as deeply etched nasolabial creases or glabella wrinkles or narrow lips can be built up, shaped and modelled.
  Botulinum toxin A treatments
Because it is so easy to apply, botulinum toxin A has been used a great deal in recent years. It is usually used as a supplementary or complimentary, non-operative treatment for creases and wrinkles in the face (“glabella wrinkles”, “horizontal wrinkles”, “crow’s feet”, ...). The best results are obtained during initial treatment. In 1989, botulinum toxin A was officially approved by the American FDA as a means of therapy for muscle-related disorders of the eye (strabismus, blepharospasm, …) and also for use in aesthetic surgery. Through targeted paralysis, the musculature loses its contractile function on the skin, which means that it is no longer able to pull the skin into folds and creases. Depending on the initial situation and appropriate indications, the “sedation” – or in certain cases repeated sedation – of the skin area, the body’s own repair mechanisms can balance out the gaps in the collagen structure more and more, resulting in the flattening or the complete disappearance of deep creases and wrinkles.
Treatment with the body’s own filler materials and foreign filler materials

We are strongly against the indiscriminate use of most synthetic, foreign filler materials. Such materials cannot be broken down by the body, can move around in the body to some extent and can result in foreign body reactions such as granulomas, which can result in serious problems. At our clinic, we only use the following in the case of specific indications: Your own fat and in some cases hyaluronic acid products. Because the body is able to break them down, hyaluronic acid products have a limited life-span of approximately 6-12 months. They are ideally suited to the treatment of fine creases (for example on the upper and lower lips) and also deeper forehead or nasolabial creases.

Fat from the patient’s own body is used to plump up hollow, fallen cheeks, to smooth deep nasolabial or forehead creases, to fill uneven areas of the face and to build up and shape narrow lips. It is important that the patient understands that according to our experience – backed up by numerous scientific publications – between 50 and 60% of the injected volume remains in the tissue permanently.  A follow-up treatment or slight correction might be required. The use of the patient’s own body fat enables artistic shaping and modelling of various parts of the face.
